SIDES works across the following areas to support people and the systems that serve them.
Programme 01
Innovation, digital transformation and future skills
We help young people, students, professionals and organisations develop the skills to use emerging technology responsibly. Our areas of focus include digital literacy, artificial intelligence, content creation and digital entrepreneurship.
Programme 02
Leadership development and problem-solving
Leadership academies, mentorship and practical training strengthen critical thinking, decision-making, civic engagement and the ability to respond to community challenges.
Programme 03
Protection and support for vulnerable populations
Our work with internally displaced persons, conflict-affected communities, women, young people and marginalised groups focuses on education, livelihoods, psychosocial support, health outreach and social cohesion.
Programme 04
Institutional strengthening and capacity building
We support government institutions, NGOs and community organisations through technical assistance, strategic planning, training and governance support to improve service delivery and accountability.
Programme 05
Youth empowerment, mentorship and entrepreneurship
Career guidance, skills development, mentorship and entrepreneurship support help young people turn ideas into opportunities and contribute to their communities.
Programme 06
Health systems strengthening and social protection
Our priorities include maternal and child health, family planning, community health and advocacy for affordable health insurance, including access for underserved populations and people living with sickle cell disease.

Support for emerging and community organisations
We help local development organisations strengthen their capacity through mentorship, technical support and resource mobilisation guidance.
